A mother of 4 shocked the whole village after scoring a C+ in 2024 KCSE Results

Mother of 4 stirs village by scoring C+ in the just released 2024 KCSE results

A mother of four has become the talk of her village in Nandi County since the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams results were released.

Thirty four-year-old Priscah  Nyangasi overcame several odds to score a C+  (plus) in 2024 KCSE examinations

Mrs Nyangasi, a mother of four at Cheboite village in Chepkumia Location dropped out of school in Std 8 after completing her KCPE in the year 2005. She opted for marriage due to lack of school fees to continue with her education at secondary level

Sixteen years later, she enrolled back to school to pursue her dreams at form one at Chepkumia secondary school in Emgwen Constituency

“Back then, other than dropping out of school due to lack of school fees, I also got pregnant and married the father of my child when I was 16 years old. I was naive in the ways of life,” she said

After staying together for 16 years, Nyangasis husband, who is a security officer at Kaimosi Tea Factory decided to take her back to school.Nyangasi studied at Chepkumia secondary school from the year 2021 upto form 3 in the year 2023 where she later transferred to Goibei Girls Secondary school in Vihiga county and enrolled in form 4 class

“I had a dream of being a nurse.I told my husband I need to go back to school and he agreed, that is how I went back,” she noted

Her husband, Joseph Kiptum Kemboi 37 was to care of their children as she persued education targeting to come better their lives in later stages

“I have 4 chilldren.Our fisrt born is Winnie Jepkoech, she sat for KCSE in 2023 and scored a B plain at Kapsabet Girls. She still at home as no fees to take her to university “She posed

Mrs Nyangasi further said her second born is a boy Delvin Kiplimo who is a form 2 student at Samoei Boys Secondary school in Nandihills

“A part from Delvin Kiplimo we also have another boy at Grade 6,Ismael kibet at Chepkumia progressive school while my fourth born is in grade 3. ” She said.
