2022 world cup in Qatar saw 32 national teams clash in eight respective groups from November 20, when the tournament kick off, to December 2, when the last group matches were played.
After nearly two weeks of group stages ,16 teams were eliminated from the tournament and other 16 progress to knock out stages.
The remaining teams faced off in the round of 16, where eight teams were eliminated , Four more teams were eliminated to quarterfinal matches.
The semifinal was France against Morocco, where France clash Morocco 2-0, on the other hand Argentina clash Croatia 3-0.
France now faces Argentina in a thrilling final to be played on 18 December at lusail stadium.
All the 32 teams that participated in the world cup will be rewarded by FIFA based on the stages were eliminated from the tournament.
FIFA set aside $440 million/ ksh53. 9 billion for prize payouts for 2022 world cup, $42 million /ksh 5. 1billion going to the winning team.
The runner up will earn $30million/ ksh 3. 6 billion, while the third place team will earn $27 million/ ksh3.3 billion and the team that finishes fourth will take home $25 million/ ksh 3 billion.
