First member of Parliament of Yatta constituency in Machakos county Gedion Munyao Mutiso is reported dead at 91 years old.
Gedion Mutiso died today on Wednesday, 26th April, 2023 at Nairobi hospital while receiving treatment from cancer.
Gedion Mutiso was on march 31, 1932 in Machakos county. Mutiso contribute highly in Kenyan politic and will be known as one of great leaders who advocate for the right of workers. He serve as the deputy secretary general of the Kenya federation of labour .
Mutiso was elected as the first Yatta Member of Parliament in 1983 where he serve till 1997. He is the longest serving Yatta Member of Parliament.
