Mr Eliudhi Simiyu famously known by many people as “Yesu wa Tongaren”, he as been trending on social media after self proclaimed that he is Jesus the son of God.
Member of his church which he refer to them as member of New Jerusalem are preparing for a big feast in lukhokhwe village, Tongoren constituency in Bungoma county to wellcome “God” to the compound of their leader Jesus of Tongoren later this month.
According to Jesus of Tongoren said God himself showed vision to 3 of his members that he will be visiting “New Jerusalem” from February 24 to 26.
The members of New Jerusalem believe that the compound of Jesus of Tongoren is the Jerusalem that is in the Bible where by Jesus Christ was brought up and preach the gospel and perform many miracles ,it’s reported that also Jesus of Tongoren has performed a miracle where he changed water to be tea.
The members of New Jerusalem they said that they are driven by vision or dream and everything they does , it must have been revealed to them either through dream or vision by God.
For example the calour of clothes and design that they put on during worship is revealed to each member by God.
All the leaders who are next to Jesus of Tongoren are all refer to us as angel or prophet(ess) and are not allowed to use their official names and everyone as been assigned a specific duty.
For instance angel Rachel as been assigned to make worship attires without using sewing machine , record everything that happened in Jerusalem in a black book, record vision revealed to church member, record question asked by journalist and answers given by Jesus of Tongoren.
The member of New Jerusalem hold 3 festival a year- New year, July and October. Each celebrated for 3 days where goats, sheeps and cows are slaughter . Jesus of Tongoren invite many people and neighbours during the celebration.
Rules that govern members of New Jerusalem
- Woman worshiper are not allowed to enter the church with trousers or makeups.
- Mohawk hairstyle are prohibited for men .
- Eating meat from cats, camel and dog are unforgivable.
- After attending a funeral you quarantine yourself for seven days, because it believes you are uncleaned.
- Woman in period wear black attire, and are not allowed to stand, talk and shake hands with other worshipers.
According to Jesus of Tongoren only 168,000 people will enter in heaven in the all world, and in Nairobi only 2 people will make it to heaven and are not yet born.
