1st, May 2023: Jetpack shares a message to publishers enjoying the Twitter Auto-sharing service on their website especially on WORDPRESS CMS.
According to Jetpack, Twitter has suspended their access to Twitter API access. The API access is what gives Jetpack ability to automatically share blog posts to Twitter.
“In early April, we experienced an unexpected suspension of our Twitter API access. This access is what powers Jetpack Social, which in turn helps you automatically share your blog posts to Twitter. Though the service was restored that same day, it turns out that there were bigger changes looming on the horizon” Reads part of the statement.
After Jetpack’s initial communication, Twitter decided, on short notice, to dramatically change the terms and pricing of the Twitter API. Jetpack says they have attempted to work with Twitter in good faith to negotiate new terms, but no positive agreement has been reached. As a result, Jetpack has removed the Twitter Auto-sharing functionality.
When Twitter removes access on April 30, 2023, publishers Twitter connection on Jetpack Social will cease to work, and their blog posts will no longer be auto-shared to Twitter.

After end of Twitter Auto-sharing, you will still be able to share your posts to Twitter manually by pasting the post link into the body of your tweet.
In addition, you can still auto-share your posts to Tumblr, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Jetpack promises to introduce new features
Jetpack had promised In the near future, to add the ability to auto-share to social media platforms like Instagram and Mastodon.
“We are continuing to release new features in Jetpack Social, so keep an eye on the Jetpack blog for more updates.” Reads their email.
