The ODM @20 Celebration is set to take place from Friday, 14 Nov to Sunday, 16 Nov 2025 in Mombasa, with the main venue at Mama Ngina Waterfront and additional events at Fort Jesus, ASK Show Ground, and Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort. The event commemorates two decades of ODM’s political journey, honoring the late Raila Amolo Odinga’s enduring legacy while charting the party’s roadmap for 2027. Originally scheduled for Oct 10‑12 2025, it was rescheduled to allow broader participation and ensure that members from across the country can join.

Key Highlights on Friday include a Disability League Breakfast from 7‑9 am, followed by parallel Women’s & Youth Summits from 10 am‑1 pm. The evening will feature a lively Youth Concert from 6 pm until midnight, offering music and performances that celebrate ODM’s vision and energize the party’s younger supporters.

Saturday will see the Main celebration at Mama Ngina Waterfront from 7:30 am‑2 pm, with speeches, presentations, and discussions reflecting on Raila Odinga’s vision and contributions to Kenyan politics. The day will culminate in the ODM Founders’ Dinner at Sarova Whitesands at 6:30 pm, an exclusive gathering of party founders, leaders, and senior members, reaffirming the unity and direction of the party.

Sunday will close the celebrations with an Inter‑religious thanksgiving service in Kilifi at 9 am, bringing together leaders from various faiths and members of the public in a shared moment of gratitude, reflection, and prayer for the country and the party’s continued journey.

Notable Attendees include President William Ruto, former Tourism CS Najib Balala, Governor Gladys Wanga, Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga (interim leader), as well as several governors, MPs, and party founders. Ahead of the main events, ODM also held a delegate registration exercise on Thursday, 13 November, ensuring that participation is organised and inclusive. This was preceded by a sitting of the National Governing Council, designed to consolidate the party’s organisational strength and reflect on its growth over the past two decades.

Beyond the festivities, ODM@20 is being seen as a platform for both commemoration and strategic positioning. The party has used regional activities — including soccer tournaments and county engagements in Kajiado, Turkana, Kilifi, and Nairobi — to reach a wider audience and engage grassroots supporters. Party leaders emphasize that the anniversary is not just a celebration of history, but a reaffirmation of ODM’s values, unity, and commitment to Kenya’s political future.
