Police in Ruiru have arrested a man who residents have nicknamed the “Ruiru Vampire” after a woman accused him of biting her during an encounter at a lodging.
According to reports, the woman left the room with visible injuries and raised an alarm. Her screams attracted nearby residents who responded quickly and helped to apprehend the suspect at the scene. He was later handed over to police officers. The incident allegedly occurred while the two were together in the lodging, and the bite injuries are what prompted the woman to call for help.
The suspect is currently in police custody. Authorities say investigations are ongoing and he is expected to be arraigned in court once they are complete.
