Tenri school Embu has been trending for a couple of weeks due to the incoming election at the school. The way the student are conducting their campaign it is similar to how today’s kenyan politicians are doing it.
Tenri Schools Embu election went viral in May 2026 because the kids ran it like a mini Kenyan national election.
Tenri Schools Embu held elections for:
President, Deputy President,
Ministries: Sports, Enjoyment & Entertainment, and others
Candidates were from the Junior Secondary School section:
– Allan– boy
– Sally & Nevina – both girls
The primary school section demanded representation too.
Their argument: Junior School was producing all the presidential candidates and most cabinet positions, so primary kids should get the Deputy President role and ministries like Sports and Entertainment.
They threatened to mobilize against the 3 presidential candidates if not given those slots.
Team Allan accused Sally and Nevina of influencing the election chairlady Sarina by giving her 4 p.m. snacks to gain favor.
They started the slogan “Sarina Must Go”.
Sally responded online: “Is it wrong to share your 4 p.m. snack with your friend?”
The whole thing exploded on TikTok, with videos of the kids copying Kenyan political campaign styles.
It’s a case study in how Gen Alpha is using social media to run school elections like national ones – manifestos, accusations, slogans, viral videos.
Tenri Schools Embu is a private school in Embu known for strong KCPE results. It was the top KCPE school in Embu County for 2020-2021.
