1.Most of the Gen Z will vote for the very first time in 2027.
Gen Z are people born between 1997 and 2012. All the gen z’s born between 1997 and 2009 will be eligible to vote in 2027. According to the latest Kenyan population survey, 40% of Kenyans are between 0 and 14 years and 20% are between 15 and 24 years. With this anger from the Gen z’s, it’s clear that they will unlikely vote for the current administration and this should worry the current President.

2.Most Millenials have never voted but they will in 2027.
Millenials are people born between 1981 and 1996. In 2022 general elections, Kenya had the lowest voter turnout in 15 years. Only 65% of registered 22.12 Million voters voted. This means 7.742 Million registered voters didn’t cast their votes in 2022 generation. A big percentage of the registered voters who did not vote were Millenials. The Millenials have learnt from their past mistakes. George Jean Nathan said, ‘Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote’.
This should worry the current President.

3.How do revolutions begin?
Revolution is forcible overthrow of social order in favour of a new system. Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. The revolution has always been in the hands of the young. The young always inherit the revolution. You can kill a revolutionary but you can never kill a revolution. This should worry the current President.

4.Which is fast, death by starvation or death by bullet?
Kenyans are not afraid of death because they would still die of hunger and starvation. No food on the table, no money in the pocket, no job card in the wallet. Children want to eat, rent needs to be paid, parents want some money, you need some new clothes. The little money paid by the boss is heavily taxed. You can’t go home empty handed. What would you do? Isn’t death better?
This should worry the current President.

5.These protests are not politically motivated.
When Raila was the leader of opposition, he would organise protests and demonstrations.
Currently, there is no serious leader of opposition in Kenya. Kalonzo is silent and even if he talks, nobody takes him seriously. Kenyans themselves have decided to lead the opposition from the villages, sidewalks, streets, highways, towns, cities and even the Parliament buildings. If it was Raila organising them, the current administration and all the right hand men would be saying all the manner of negative things about Raila but now who will they blame?
This should worry the current President.

6.Preaching water, drinking wine.
Once during 2022 campaigns, President gave a speech in church and he quoted Isaiah 10:1 ‘Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. What will you do on the day of reckoning when disaster comes from afar?’
That was what he quoted. Isn’t he doing exactly what he was against? Isn’t he making unjust laws? How just was housing levy? Was it even constitutional?
Kenyans are tired of political doublespeak. This should worry the current President.

7.Sweet tongue.
Some call him ‘Mtukufu lies’. Some label him ‘Loot-all’. Others call him ‘Zakayo’. Millenials and Gen z’s were told that this would be a government of mama mboga and bodaboda. They were told that life would be better but now it is getting worse. They were told that cost of living would improve but it is not. They were told that unemployment would reduce, it is actually increasing. Gen z’s feel betrayed, they feel used, they feel lied to, they feel they were used and taken advantage of. That’s why they are mad.
Basically, young people were promised heaven but given hell.
The current President should communicate expectations, otherwise he should be worried.

8.The demonstrations are tribeless and ageless.
Young and old are protesting. Kikuyus and maasais are demonstrations. Everyone feels the heat of cost of living. This should worry the current President.

9.Even Rift Valley is rioting.
From North rift to South rift, everyone is hungry and angry. From Eldoret to Kericho, the UDA wheelbarrows have been put down. Kenyans are no longer stupid. They know what they want and this should worry the current President.

10.The young people are highly motivated, want to be listened and nothing can stop them.
Fueled by anger, motivated by faith, inspired by freedom of demonstration and determined to see a better Kenya, today, young people stormed into the Parliament and the senate. They broke in, destroyed expensive furniture and even set some part of Parliament buildings and City Hall on fire. What if they decide to storm into the statehouse in tens of thousands next time and not be afraid of teargas and bullets? This should worry the current President.
