Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua together with the Cs of transport kipchumba morkomen, presided over the launch of the first flight from Wilson airport in Nairobi to Kakamega town.
The airstrip was commissioned by president president William Ruto on Thursday last week,after undergoing rehabilitation works at a cost of sh 174.7 million.
It will cost up to sh 5990 to fly from Wilson airport Nairobi to newly rehabilited airstrip in Kakamega.
The Skyward Express says the flight will take approximately 45minutes from Nairobi to Kakamega.
Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua said the Kenya kwanza administration remain keen to grow pertinership with private sector, including airline operator.
