Kiambu MCAs made a walk to Governor Wamatangi’s office during which they addressed the press complaining that the governor is doing things against the law and does not listen to them.
They said they will table a motion to kick him out of the office if he does not listen to them and go as per the constitution and law of the county.
The threats by kiambu MCAs came barely one month after Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza survived an impeachment by sanate after the committee accused her for illegaly going against the law in matters such as practicing corruption in his government.
If kiambu MCAs make good their threats,Wamatangi could be the second governor to be kicked out of office by the assembly . The first one was the former governor of Kiambu Ferdinand Waititu
The MCAs present their grievances when were protesting and they complained that governor Wamatangi didn’t want to listen to them and more worse he did not included them in county development matters, they also complained that their was unequal distribution of bursary and other resources to wards and the funds were not even enough for the residents of Kiambu county.
Governor Wamatangi was on hot soup when MCAs says that Wamatangi was using the county government funds to fund his own project such as Wamatangi foundation which is her personal project.
Once a governor is impeached by MCAs , the motion is proceed to sanate where it further discussed by the members of the house . If senators uphold the impeachment the governor is kicked out of the office and deputy governor took the the position of the governor
