Azimio la Umoja coalition as given directives to his supporters on protest starting tomorrow on Tuesday, 2 May , 2023 that the protest will start at exactly 6am at the Central Business District (CBD) moving towards state house.
Raila as urged his supporters to come out in large number as they protest over high Cost of living for the government to reduce price of commodities, fuel and electricity. Raila told his people to come for protest without any weapon because they will be having a peaceful demonstration.
President William Ruto had urged the opposition to have a peaceful talk with the government through Parliament, but the opposition withrew themselves from a peaceful dialogue and choose to return to Street demonstration.
President will Ruto said, he will not allow the opposition coalition to continue with their protest and destroy properties of Kenyans ,instead he will use his power as the Commender in Chief of the armed Force to stop the opposition to continue with their demonstration.
The opposition are also requesting the Independent Electrol and Boundaries Commission ( IEBC) to open the saver because according to them they won August presidential election.
Francis Atwoli as also urged the president and the apposition leader Raila Odinga to have a peaceful dialogue, because demonstration is not the solution instead the people of Kenya will be the one affected by the demonstration.
