African union (AU) has made is announcement on ending the role of the former Kenya prime minister Raila Odinga as the high represent for infrastructure in Africa.
The announcement was made to public by that African Union (AU) chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat. The Union thanks Raila Odinga for the role he partaked at the Union when he was still a member, wishes him all the best and will still remained a valuable person to the Union.
“Your role in this journey, Excellency , has been inavaluable . Allow me to express my profound gratitude for accepting to serve in this role during the transition period , which as now come to a happy conclusion, ” Moussa Faki Mahamat said.
Raila Odinga was appointment as the high representative for infrastructure in Africa in October 20, 2018, during the leadership of the former president Uhuru Kenyatta. He served for 5 years now.
The appointment of Raila Odinga by the African Union ( AU) is to enable Africa continent to intergrade through infrastructure, promote Africa continent economically and sustainable development in the continent.
On ending Raila Odinga role in African Union, Chairman person Mr Moussa Faki Mahamat on the latter written to Raila Odinga on termination of the job said, the African Union Development Agency- New Partinership for African Development (AUDA – NEPAD) will take over the role of Raila Odinga.
Some other reports but not yet confirmed said that African Union (AU) terminate Raila Odinga job, because he as been busy with matters concerning politic in Kenya and this make him underperforming in his role as the high representative for infrastructure in Africa.
