Azimio la Umoja principal Raila Amolo Odinga had organized a national prayer day at Javenjee Garden but some of the Azimio key leader missed the service on Wednesday 22, February,2023.
The aim of the prayer according to Raila Odinga was to present that coalition and the entire country before God. And to pray for good governorship of the country.
Accompanying Raila Odinga to the ground was Narc Kenya leader Martha Karau, wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, roots party leader Goerge wajackoyah and Nairobi senator Edwin sifuna.
Other leaders who were present ledama Olekina Narok senator, former Defense Cs Eugene wamalwa, former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Jubilee general secretary Jeremiah kioni , Nairobi women representative Esther Passaris among many other leaders.
Leaders including Westland Mp Tim Wanyonyi , Embakasi East Mp Babu Owino and Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi sent their apologies.
However their some big names in the Azimio coalition who missed the event without any apologies , Suna East Mp Junet Mohamed, former Gatanga mp Peter Kenneth , former Mombasa governor Hassan Joho, Charity ngilu, Homabay Governor Gladys wanga, James Orengo Siaya Governor and Simba Arati Kisii Governor.
The same leaders who missed Javenjee Garden prayers are the same who missed Kamukunji ground rally when Raila arrived black from south Africa. But Raila clarified on 7 February that he met with Junet and Joho on a meeting and they are part of the Azimio team.
Kanu chairman Gideon Moi and David Murathe also missed.
