Tuesaday 2, May 2023: Waihiga Mwaura of Citizen quits after serving for 14 years.
Citizen Tv news anchor quits his job at Royal Media Services after 14 Years infront of the RMS cameras.
Through a statement he shared, he pointed out that he is set to join British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Today marks his last day at RMS thereafter he promises to share more details.
“After 14 amazing years at Royal Media Services (Citizen TV), my time here has ended. My next stop is BBC News (BBCAfrica) specifically Focus on Africa. I’ll share more details soon, but in the meantime, see you on my last episode of #Newsnight at 9:00 pm on Citizen TV,”
Before his exit, Mr Waihiga has been the Multimedia managing editor at Citizen TV. During his entry at Royal Media services, he first served as a sports anchor before ascending to Special projects editor and later joining the news desk.
