Today on 1st June 2023 Kenyans are celebrating Madaraka day . Kenyans remembered the day they got their independence from white people and acquired their freedom.
As Kenyans are celebrating Madaraka day today in Embu, and waiting for president William Ruto to address them over so many issues concerning the country, but Kenya have their own agendas that’s wants the president to address them and are silently waiting to see if the president will talk about those key matters.
High cost of living
High cost of living have been a major problem the country since the time of Corona and Kenya as never recovered till today. The president promised the people of Kenya that immediately he will enter into the government he will lower price of commodities but till now nothing have change.
The price of commodities have been raising each an every day making Kenyans not afford the price of commodities and ending up living a poor living standard. Kenyans are expecting the president to talk about the price of common commodities such as Unga, sugar that as gone up recently and the price of cooking gas that the president said the price will be lowered but till now has not yet go down.
Higher taxation
The high taxation program that as been introduced the other day with president William Ruto inorder to collect funds for government housing projects , has caused some mixed reaction to Kenyans many people said it’s not the right time to do this because the country is at crises, others said this agenda is not helpful to the people of Kenya for now. A large number of people are now waiting the president to address the matter.
If the agenda will pass and introduce another tax plan to Kenyans that means the price of commodities will go further higher than it is right now.
