Otieno lewis omondi and Fwaro Makokha Robinson are the top candidate in KCPE 2022 examination, each scoring 431 marks out of possible 500 marks.
Lewis omondi from st Peter’s boys primary school mumias in Kakamega county, while Fwaro Makokha Robinson from Christ the King primary school in Bungoma county emerged the top in the whole of the entire country.
According to their teachers, Robinson and lewis were hardworking and used to lead in both internal and external exams but they did not expect them to be the top candidate in the whole of the country.
Cabinet Secretary for education Ezekiel Machogu said this year their was a big improvement compared to 2021 where the top candidate score 428 marks.
According to the Ministry of Education 9,443 candidates scored between 400 to 500 marks in the test.
307,756 pupils scored between 200 to 399 marks, 619,593 candidates scoring between 100 to 199 marks , while 724 candidate scoring between 1 to 99 marks.
